Believe me folks, I’ve whacked my way through golf courses from Albuquerque to Albany, but this course tamps them all down. Sure, the holes could use a bit more personality and the clubhouse definitely needs a new jukebox, but who needs distractions when you’ve got a tee-off with your name on it?

This course is, in a word, idyllic. You can feel the stress melt away when you step onto the first tee. Sure, there are challenges – a couple of sand traps feel like they were perfectly placed just to torment me – but even then, the surrounding beauty makes it worth it. One minor drawback
