Pretty good course. Competent and friendly staff – a girl at the reception even held onto my lost sunglasses until I remembered where I left them. Greens were alright, fairway a bit patchy in places. Clubhouse needs a bit of TLC but vibe was chill and welcoming. I’ll be back.

A decent round of golf to be had at Thistle. Greens are in so-so condition and pace of play was average. The clubhouse could use some updating in my opinion, though staff were friendly enough.
Cap’n Fishguts –
Went on a fishing expedition but ended up playing golf. Those pesky sand traps kept swallowing my balls. Overall a fun day though. Staff were understanding when I accidentally walked into the ladies’ locker room… oops!

A short but sweet review of Thistle

A lovely stroll in the park. The greens are like butter and the fairways like silk! Top notch facilities and the staff was nicer than my own grandmother. I almost thought I was at Augusta for a second. But be warned, if you’re not on your game, this course will eat you alive, just like grandma’s meatloaf.

I must admit, the Thistle has grown on me (no pun intended). A little rough around the edges initially, like my ex-wife, but it’s a grower. Greens were a tad patchy, like my ex-wife’s cooking, and the pace of play was slow, again, like my ex-wife. But like a fine wine or a stale baguette, the Thistle has its own unique charm. Service was impeccable though, nothing like my ex-wife. All in all, an enjoyable day on the links.
