Southern Oaks is a solid middle-of-the-road course. Fairways were well-kept, and the putting greens reliable, if not slightly unremarkable in their conception. The clubhouse, though decently-stocked, could benefit from some sprucing up. Customer service was satisfactory, and the pace of play was somewhat on the slower side.

The 7th hole is a BEAST! Needed every club in my bag. Course in general was in good shape, greens were a bit slow though. Pro shop staff were very welcoming!

Wonderful experience playing at Southern Oaks! Impeccable greens, hands down the star of the show. Fairways could use a little more love, but playable. The course layout is fun, challenging but fair. The clubhouse is not the fanciest, but it has all you need. Staff is always friendly. I just wish the pace of play was a bit faster.

Souhtern Oaks? More like “Southern Folks”- the staff is super sweet! Greens are hard to read, tell your caddy to bring a map! Fairways? … meh. The course layout is interesting, good mix of challenging holes. Love the clubhouse – classically understated. And the brisket sandwich? Worth the trip alone! My only gripe is slow pace of play.
