Took a swing at Saticoy Regional this weekend. Props for genuinely pleasant staff. Greens were a bit tougher than my regular joints but I reckon it’s part of the charm. Fairways were mostly in good twang with a couple needing a bit more love though.Had the nachos at the clubhouse — I would come back for those alone! Pace of play was conversational, despite a couple of duffers ahead of us. All in all, a day well-spent under the Cali sun and a chill course worth a visit.

Let me begin with the clubhouse – perfectly upkept and friendly staff. The course is fit for beginners to pros, I’d say. The fairways were not quite impeccable, with some needing some minor maintenance, but overall, very playable. The greens were faster than I’m used to, providing a delightful challenge! Had to wait about 15 mins for a spot, but the pace was quite steady from then on out. Saticoy’s got it going, in my books.
