“Fore!”….said no one ever. Luckily, the greens caught my “wild” swings! Indeed, I put the “rough” in the roughs on this course, but the ever-friendly staff kept my spirits up. Great baloney sandwich in the clubhouse!

Decent enough course, bit packed out on the weekends. Greens could use a bit of care but overall good play. The clubhouse is decent, a very welcoming staff. Carry a cap though, the sun doesn’t forgive in Baton Rouge.

The wife packed me some sunscreeen, but shouldn’t have botherd (bothered). Santa Maria was a shade paradise. Good shade coverage on hot days. Course layout was top notch, and I even made a birdie on the 9th hole, which is to say something. Good spot for gulf..or golf. Whatever you call it.

A fair course with an interesting layout that really tests your game. Coupled with the beauty of Louisiana’s natural landscape, it’s a spot I’d recommend. Fairways were immaculately kept. But a bit slower pace of play hampered experience slightly due to overcrowding.
