I was pleasantly surprised by Robert A. Black Golf Club! The greens were in great shape and the course layout was challenging but fair. The Clubhouse was ok, though I have been to better ones, and I found the staff to be extra helpful. Highly recommend a visit on a sunny day.

Hey golfers, heads up! Check the weather before you head to Robert A. Black. It can get a tad windy, which makes the course fun, but challenging. Brought a light-hearted attitude (and a wind jacket) and had a good time. Recommend the cheeseburger at the clubhouse! Good stuff!

A hidden gem in the heart of Chicago. Greens were in top condition but some of the fairways need a touch-up. A nice layout with a few sneaky challenges. Could have wanted a better stocked pro shop in the clubhouse though. The staff was polite and helpful all around. Good pace of play kept things from dragging.

Beautiful course with some challenging holes. Greenery can be beautifully distracting. Some fairways sketchier than the Mrs.’ chocolate cookies but clubhouse and customer service solid like Arnold Palmer’s swing. Pace of play a bit slow, just like old Arnie (I miss him)…
