Love Rancho del Sol! Good challenge and great views. Can get slow though.

Simply put, as stingy with palm trees as it is generous with sand traps, this course will challenge even the most seasoned golfer. Stellar views of the surrounding hills will distract you, but don’t let them—each hole, particularly the par 5s, requires thought and strategy. The fairways could use more grooming, but the greens are immaculate. Clubhouse is a bit dated, but the friendly staff more than make up for it. And the pace of play? Well, let’s just say don’t schedule anything immediately after—slow golf is still the name of the game here.

My swinging may not always be on pool, but at least the greens here at Ranch del Sol are. The way it challenges my link skills, it kind of feels like coming home (a rugged home with wild fairways). Can get a slowpoke ahead of you sometimes but rest assure, the pesonable staff and dencent amenities will make up for it!
