Pecan Valey – lulzy name 😉 but serious golfing! Spotless fairways and well-managed greens. Though the course looks deceptively easy, certain holes will test your nerves and technique. Clubhouse? More like a vintage retreat with good ol’ chums and beverages. Staff is mostly friendly, but gets slow sometimes. But hey, who is in a rush when in a golfer’s paradise, right? Just watch out for those pesky squirrels on the 5th hole fairway! 🐿️

Flying all the way from Cali to this rustic sanctuary, I can’t help but feel overwhelmed by the panache of the Pecan Valley Golf Course. You might feel it’s a bit too sunny at times, but boy oh boy, the well-balanced fairways provide a sweet challenge for golfers of all proficiency. Magnificent greens – smooth as shaved almonds! – and customer service folks who know their game very well. The clubhouse can do with some refurbishing but adds to the old-school country charm. I just wish I didn’t have to wait that much for my teeing turn. Would love to come back!
