Just played 18 holes on this course and honestly, I’m impressed. The course layout is challenging yet fair, providing a variety of shot opportunities. Some tee boxes offer amazing views of the surrounding landscape. Green conditions were above par, though fairways were slightly patchy. The clubhouse facilities were modest but had all the necessary amenities. Customer service was top-notch; I get why the local golfing fraternity swears by Lake Hills. A few bottlenecks lead to a slow pace of play at times. Overall, a worthwhile experience for serious golfers.

Man, this course is a beaut! Scenic views as far as the eye can see, and the greens are incredibly well maintained – felt like I was putting on velvet. The fairways could use a bit more TLC, some rough patches here and there. The pace of play was slow; the beer cart was a much-needed bright spot, though I sometimes had to wave her down. Hit the clubhouse for a sandwich post round – it’s worthy of the detour for a cold one and a bite. Staff there were friendly and accommodating. There are certenly worse ways to spend a sunny afternoon in Billings, trust me!
