Golf? In Newberry? Who knew? Good place, good people. Pity about the geese on fourth though, had to stage a brief diversion. Golfing has indeed come home.

Brought a stress ball. Didn’t need it. Good lay-out, challenging, made for a fulfilling game. Popped in the clubhouse after, nice ambience.

The course is pretty decent. Greens could use some love, though. But the staff? Top-notch. Super friendly.

First time here. Got lost twice. Anyhoodle, service was good and I liked the speed of play. The clubhouse is a bit old-style for my taste, but it’s well kept.

Stayed hydrated thanks to the clubhouse’s bar! Pretty courses, bit slow on the ninth, but good fun!

So, why bother paying way too much when you can play at Country Club of Newberry with far less green notes? The course layout was pretty cool and challanging enough to keep you engaged. Got some issues with greens conditions, probably due to recent heavy rrains. But, that’s uncontrollable, isn’t it? The staff was as welcoming as a grandma at Thanksgiving. 10/10 would visit again!

The Country Club of Newberry provided a pleasant surprise when I first visited. As avid golf enthusiast, the greenery was no less than a treat for the eyes. There were a few brown patches on the fairway, but I great-heartedly overlooked that, thanks to the warm welcome from the staff. Loved the cozy clubhouse! Could use a better stocked pro shop though. It took us about 4.5 hours to finish our round, which felt like a leisurely pace.
