Well, kind of a mixed bag for me at the Contraband Bayou. Course Layout is interesting, veering from the traditional and I love a challenge. I was, however, slighty disapvointed (osp, disappointed) with the fairways – they were de best (osp, not the best). I did appreciate the well-kept greens. The facilities were basic but clean. Staffs were a delight, always helpful. Was a bit slow between holes. Still, I’d caddy up again. With a little more TLC, this place will be stellar!

Contraband Bayou Golf Club has it all. It’s like a Louisiana bayou, swamp and all, meets a top-notch par 71 golf course. The layout is challenging yet fun, with plenty of risks and rewards along the way. Course conditions were decent, although I found the fairways a bit worn from the summer heat. The greens were fabulous though. The Clubhouse has a beautiful bayou backdrop and the customer service was on point. My only gripe was the pace of play, seems a gator or two slowed us down.
