Had an amazing time teeing off at Contra Costa Country Club. The course layout is something to marvel at, particularly for its exceptional challenge even for a seasoned golfer like myself. Speaking of the greens, they were well-maintained despite recent rains. Customer service was top-notch, everybody was so friendly. The only hiccup was the pace of play. We felt pressured by the group behind us. Maybe the management could do something about the tee times?

Ok, so I’m not a pro golfer. But Contra Costa was fantablicious! I mean, the fairways – wow. Looked like something off a postcard. The folks running the clubhouse were cool cats. Can’t say the same about the waiter, though, spilled my drink. Not a major deal, just a little splashback on my golf shorts. Pace of play was slower than a three-legged turtle. Weather was perfecto. Good place for golfers like me who are just there for the beer and laughs!
