Ha! My wife dragged me here for a ‘romantic’ weekend golf getaway. I mean, who does that? But I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Fairway’s a tad narrow but the course layout’s solid. And the views, man! Feels good to hit a birdie with a backdrop of mountains. Plus good beer in the clubhouse. Reluctantly conceding – wife was right.

What a charming course! Butternut Creek isn’t the most challenging I’ve had the pleasure of playing, but the scenic mountain views more than make up for it. The staff is friendly enough and the clubhouse facilities are sufficient, although they could use a bit of an upgrade. The greens were well kept as were the fairways. It’s a relaxing place to play a round if you’re not trying to push yourself too hard.

My ball seemed to have left the fairway to go on vacation, the entire course layout is so aesthetically pleasing. The greens were immaculately maintained! Only downside – slow play, but hey, more time to enjoy the views!
