Lovely course! Challenging yet accessible, with a stunning layout that had me on my toes. But what made Alling a true gem are the folks running it. Had a minor issue with my booking but they sorted it out pronto with a big smile. The green was a bit patchy in some places but nothing a good putt can’t handle. Fairways are beautiful and well cared for. The clubhouse is comfy enough, not luxurious but it serves its purpose. And do prepare yourself for a leisurely game. Some delays, but the scenery is captivating, so there’s that.

Had a tee-rific time at Alling Memorial! The course is quite robust but yielding, really demands the best from you but fair’s fair – if you’re a keen player, you’ll appreciate the added element of challenge. The greens were quite responsive, a bit on the slow side. Fairways, well let’s just say, my driver was feeling pretty pampered. Clubhouse facilities could use some sprucing up. Staff was as chipper as a birdie, bonus points for their welcoming nature. Pace of play wasn’t the quickest but hey, no one loves a sprint on a golf course!
